- Eternal Champions
Apparently, a certain retard character creator liked Senator so much that he made a pallete edit of him and renamed it "George Washington" without acknowledging the original creator and claiming it as his work. This genius is none other than the notorious character "creator" (if you can call him that) ???Unknown Creator??? On the bright side, at least this lame pallete edit is usable. He's exactly the same as Senator outside of the portrait, the name, and pallete.
This is the older, less efficient version of SuperMystery's Eternal Champion. It was designed to work with WinMUGEN but should work in 1.0. But why would you want to use this version for 1.0 when the 1.0 only version above is much better and less buggy? The primary differences are a couple of bugs not present in the 1.0 version above and no "playable" mode. When you play as him, it's strictly boss mode. Also, he doesn't automatically lose on the second round like the 1.0 version, meaning you have to fight him and all of his transformations twice!
Addons and Unofficial Patches:
There was An Issue with 4 of the characters here that caused the Palletes to Flicker over and over this is a fix sff patch for those messed up characters
A series of CNS patches to add more win quotes to the above characters (minus Crispy):
A set of CNS patches for the two Eternals only to add more win quotes which better reflect their personalities, plus an SND fix for the Eternal to replace his EC1 taunt with his EC CD taunt and fix a couple of the sound effects which were ripped with an old version of Gens and not accuate. The Tiger Form speed boost move sound being one such sound:
Here are all the currently known stages (one will not have a link as it is now broken, but I'll post the image for it anyway.) All of the stages that appeared in the original Eternal Champions game will have the original music track for that stage by Joe Delia, the Eternal Champions Challenge From the Dark Side theme for that stage by Tristan des Pres, or a remix of the theme from that stage in the original game by Hyde209. I'm going to add a brief description of each stage as well. Anyway, here they are:
Eternity Complex Version 2 by Supermystery
This stage is for Mugen 1.0 only and SuperMystery's Version 1.0 only Eternal Champion interacts with it. Protip: The boss version will only interact with this stage. To select the boss version on character select to play as, or have as a CPU partner/CPU enemy in Watch mode, Press whatever designated button is your C button while selecting him. To fight Boss mode EC in Arcade mode, he has to be the fifth opponent or higher. This download comes with three music track options for you to choose.
Cimmerian Complex by SuperMystery
This stage is for Mugen 1.0 only and SuperMystery's Version 1.0 only Dark Eternal Champion interacts with it. Protip: The boss version will only interact with this stage. To select the boss version on character select to play as, or have as a CPU partner/CPU enemy in Watch mode, Press whatever designated button is your C button while selecting him. To fight Boss mode Dark EC in Arcade mode, he has to be the fifth opponent or higher. Only one music track comes with this as it only appeared in one EC game.
Cimmerian Complex by Lansman
Download: The file is currently down. I'll ask Lansman to reupload it eventually if he still has it. I no longer have it on my computer sadly.... =( Sorry...
This version of Cimmerian Complex works in WinMUGEN and 1.0. However, I noticed it had a few graphical glitches in 1.0. I am sad to say I never tested it in WinMUGEN though. Might be a Compatibility bug.
Abu Sembal Temple (Ramses III's Stage) by (now deceased sadly) Juan Carlos
The late Juan Carlos made this stage a really long time ago to compliment his Ramses III character. Oddly, he seems to have stretched the stage some which looks kinda bad, but at the same time makes the stage look a bit higher res than it should be. Not sure why he'd want to horrifically stretch the background though.... Comes with one music track as it only appeared in one EC game.
Salem (Xavier Pendragon's Stage)
I can't find the author's name in the .def file (though the description in it is mostly in spanish.) but since it was on Juan Carlos' site (which is still up btw.) I'm assuming he made it. Looks better than his Ramses III stage at least. No stretching and a really nice looking fog effect. Comes with three music tracks to choose from.
Washington DC (Senator's Stage) by DrKelexo
Ah yes, the hilarious level for that hilarious badass politician joke character from Eternal Champions Challenge From the Dark Side. His stage came rather late in terms of when the character was originally released (which wasn't by Dr.Kelexo). Unlike DrKelexo's download on his site, which completely lacks a music track, I have included the proper track for this level. If you haven't played EC CftDS and are curious about what it sounds like, you can hear it here:
The Cyber Dome (R.A.X. Coswell's Stage) by Juan Carlos?
This is RAX Coswell's stage. Not sure who the author is because once again, it has no name in the .def file. I'm assuming Juan Carlos made this stage however as it's on his site. Comes with three music tracks to choose from.
Chicago Theater (Larcen Tyler's Stage) by Juan Carlos?
Yet another stage that lacks an author's name and also is on Juan's site. I'm going to assume any authorless stage from his site is one he made. Comes with three music tracks.
Great Rift Valley (Slash's Stage) by Vampipe
Slash's stage. Always found this silly because Cavemen didn't live with the dinosaurs. This stage is also great if you have some kind of fire using character such as Diablo from Primal Rage, whom lacks a stage as far as I can tell. Comes with three different music tracks to choose from.
Syrian Refinery (Jonathan Blade's stage) by Vampipe
Yep, Mr. roid rage in tights showing his crotch lump here has a stage made for him too. Comes with three music tracks to choose from.
Shores of Atlantis (Trident's stage) by Vampipe
Trident's stage. Not much else to say. Stage comes with three different music tracks. Enjoy. =)
Blue Dragon Circus (Jetta Maxx's Sega CD Stage) by Antagonist.
Three different music tracks to choose from.
Black Orchid Company Rooftop (Shadow Yamoto's Stage) by Antagonist
Three music tracks to choose from.
Chicago Theater Sega CD Version (Larcen's Stage) by Antagonist
Includes three music tracks.
Chicago Theater (Genesis/Mega Drive version) by Antagonist
Three music tracks.
